Ben DeBerry Joins Team as President

CHICAGO, Illinois (June 30, 2007) – Carlyle Group, a leading boutique executive search firm based in Chicago, today announced that Ben DeBerry is their new President. In this position, he will manage all aspects of the business and work closely with the seven (7) full partners, and expanding team of search professionals, to strategically grow each of the firm’s six (6) distinctive practice areas.

Prior to joining Carlyle Group, DeBerry was Managing Director, Global Practice Leader with search firm Edward W Kelley & Partners.  He has held various senior level leadership positions with international corporate companies and was also CEO of a 30+ unit Midwestern restaurant chain.

DeBerry is married, has grown children and lives in Chicago’s South Loop. He is active in several civic, professional and community-focused organizations including Metropolitan Family Services where he serves on the Board of Directors and the Union League Club of Chicago.  He also serves on the Board of Directors of DePaul University, Kellstadt Business School and is a Trustee of Old St. Pat’s Catholic Church. 

DeBerry received a BS from DePaul University in Business, with a concentration in management and marketing.
