New Vice President for Carlyle Group’s Real Estate Practice: Shena Barlas-Schwartz
Chicago, Illinois (September 1, 2006) - Shena Barlas-Schwartz has joined Carlyle Group’s Real Estate Practice team as Vice President with responsibility for driving strategies to identity exceptional executive talent for the firm’s clients. She will also be responsible for business and client relationship development and brings a strong background of working with dynamic growth industries and market leading companies to her new role.

Prior to joining Carlyle Group, Shena was a Director of OSG Global’s Financial Services Technology practice for eleven years. In that position she worked closely with various hedge funds and options trading firms, as well as many Fortune 500 companies, to attract and hire key personnel in corporate, financial and IT positions. She is particularly adept at working with clients to produce a clear and in-depth understanding of their unique needs and identifying and placing uniquely qualified candidates who fit those defined criteria.
Shena was born and educated in the United Kingdom at Kent and Oxford. She has lived in the United States for the past twenty-five years.
